The DPW will collect Christmas trees during the week of January 9th - 13th on your regular trash collection day. As these trees will be put through a chipper, please do not leave any ornaments, lights, stands, or bags with the tree. Also, please do not leave wreaths as we are unable to chip those due to wire frames. Please dispose of wreaths in your regular trash. If you would like to bring your tree to the DPW yard at 217R South Main Street, we will accept them there as well.
Notice to Residents
There is no curbside leaf and/or yard waste collection in the spring. Leaves and other yard wastes can be deposited at the Farnham Road composting area. Refer to the Sharon Refuse & Recycling calendar (or read below) for dates and times for Farnham Road.
The Farnham Road composting area is closed until Spring 2012.
Stumps of any kind will no longer be accepted at the Farnham Road Composting Area.
The Department of Public Works has a limited number of compost bins available to purchase for $40 each. Please call 781-784-1525 x2314 for more information.
